The desire to redress the balance between acoustics and aesthetics was at the heart of this project. Why should a speaker always be housed in a black wooden box? Two porcelain speakers and a CD player in a noble material, porcelain, and hi-fidelity would never be the same again. Using the know-how of both companies to creatively collaborate and literally propose out-of-the-box designs in this noble material resulted in a surprising series of very domestic designs.
